About me
I am an AI Safety Research Fellow in the Anthropic Fellows Program. I recently completed my Ph.D. in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Toronto, where I was fortunate to be advised by Nisarg Shah. Before joining UofT, I received my B.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Sharif University of Technology, and I spent four years in the tech industry as a software engineer and technical manager, building platforms with millions of users.
My research lies at the intersection of algorithms, artificial intelligence, and economics. I work on designing fair and efficient mechanisms to aggregate diverse preferences into collective decisions, with applications ranging from voting and democratic systems (citizens’ assemblies) to resource allocation. More recently, my work has extended to AI alignment, safety, and evaluation.
